What MedPortfolio is

MedPortfolio is an independent tool for organising professional portfolio evidence, run by Edward Phillips. It is not affiliated with the NHS, UKFPO, Oriel, GMC, Royal Colleges, Horus, Turas or any other official body. It does not constitute careers advice.

Acceptable use

MedPortfolio may only be used for lawful purposes, specifically to organise your own professional portfolio evidence. You must not:

• Upload patient-identifiable information of any kind
• Upload content that is illegal, defamatory or harmful
• Attempt to access another user's data
• Use the service in any way that could damage or disrupt it
• Create accounts for others without their knowledge

Patient data

You must not upload patient-identifiable information. This includes names, NHS numbers, dates of birth, clinical details, or any other information that could identify a patient. Doing so may violate data protection law and your professional obligations under GMC Good Medical Practice.

Your content

Your portfolio content remains yours. You give us permission to store, display and process it only so we can provide MedPortfolio to you, and you confirm that you have the right to upload it. How we handle your personal data is set out in the Privacy Policy.

Our content and software

The MedPortfolio software, design, name and logo are owned by Edward Phillips. You may use the service for your own portfolio, but you may not copy, resell or republish it, or scrape it at scale, without written permission. Nothing here limits rights you have by law.

Referrals and rewards

Referral rewards and any free-access periods are described on the Plan page. They are promotional benefits with no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and are given for genuine referrals of real people. Creating fake or duplicate accounts, or referring yourself, may lead to rewards being removed and the accounts closed. If we change what is offered, we will give reasonable notice and will honour rewards already earned under the previous terms.

No warranties

MedPortfolio is provided “as is” during early access. While we take reasonable steps to maintain uptime and protect your data, we make no warranties about availability or data retention. Keep backups of important documents. You remain responsible for the accuracy of your portfolio and for meeting your own training and appraisal requirements.

Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of data, indirect or consequential loss, or loss arising from your use of the service, to the extent the law allows.

Account termination

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms, particularly those uploading patient data or using the service for unlawful purposes. You can delete your account at any time by emailing us.

Changes

These terms may be updated. If a change is significant we will tell you by email or in the app. Continued use of MedPortfolio after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although this does not affect any rights you have to bring a claim in another part of the UK.
